My Garden Update: 4-23-14

The last couple of weeks have been very busy, very busy indeed! I have tilled the garden and added my compost I had from last year. I set out my stepping stones (to prevent me from walking all over the garden and compacting the soil again). I was also able to transplant my yellow squash, scalloped squash and zucchini. I seeded some okra, bunching onion, lettuce and parisian carrots as well. We got a lot of rain a few days after they were seeded, so hopefully they didn’t all float away. We will see!

I have also added two new areas for flowers! One is along our fence line for sunflowers (shown below) and the other is in a corner that I will use for flowers and bulbs (pictures coming soon).
