April Fool’s Day Fun

I was searching for something fun for April Fool’s Day and discovered that many pranks have been played over the years in the botanical world!

In 1900, a German garden journal editor named a new species of cactus – only to forget his joke at the end of the year and catalog it!

In 1937, a storm blew willow tree branches to spell words!

For more info on these stories and many more, visit the Museum of Hoaxes.

Have a wonderful April Fool’s Day!
